Fashion editorials long ago stopped being about enviably pretty models posing in attractive clothes in order to entice someone into spending money. Fashion at its most rarefied level is now a club that revels in its secret language of ennui, titillation and oddball references.[Robin Givhan]

Hi John I love your blog, editorial photos are my favorite. I used one of the above photos in my blog (resized and retouched and added text). I'm new to blogging and just found out I should be weary of copyright laws. Who can I ask for permission to use this editorial photo on my blog? Do you ask permission from the source and if so, any tips? I would die if I couldn't use fashion editorial photos on my blog. Please reply and thank you!
